These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PowerWave.ng (the "Platform"), operated by PowerWave ("PowerWave", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract under Nigerian law to use the Platform. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including for identity verification (KYC).
2. Your account and wallet
Your wallet balance may only be used to pay for services on the Platform. Wallet balances and transaction limits depend on your verification tier. We may place a deposit on hold, restrict your account, or request further verification where a limit is reached, a transaction appears unusual, or we reasonably suspect fraud, and we will notify you by email where required by law.
3. Services
We provide access to electricity token purchases, airtime and data top-ups, cable TV subscriptions, examination and JAMB pins, and virtual card issuance, using licensed third-party providers behind the scenes. We do not guarantee that a specific provider, network, or biller will always be available, and reserve the right to substitute providers without affecting the price or service you receive.
4. SubCoin (SC)
SubCoin is a reward coin earned through purchases, tasks, achievements and daily check-ins. SubCoin balances are held and administered by our third-party partner SubCoinX; PowerWave does not control or guarantee SubCoin balances. SubCoin has no cash value until redeemed into your wallet balance at the prevailing rate, which may change at any time. Redemption is not available for spending directly; converted SubCoin becomes ordinary wallet balance, subject to these Terms.
5. Transaction PIN and account security
Your transaction PIN, password and one-time codes are confidential. You are responsible for all activity carried out using your correct credentials and PIN. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
6. Fees, pricing and refunds
Prices, fees and discounts shown on the Platform or in your dashboard are set by us and may change at any time; the price shown at the point of purchase is the price charged. Where a purchase cannot be completed by the provider, the amount debited (excluding any non-refundable fee disclosed at checkout) is automatically reversed to your wallet.
7. Resellers and the Reseller API
Reseller status, API access, and reseller wallet-funding accounts are subject to a separate verification and approval process and may be suspended or revoked for a breach of these Terms, our API documentation, or applicable law, including if you are found to be facilitating fraud, money laundering or the funding of illegal activity through your platform.
8. Prohibited use
You may not use the Platform for money laundering, fraud, terrorism financing, or any illegal purpose; to circumvent verification or transaction limits; or to interfere with the security or normal operation of the Platform.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account where required by law, on reasonable suspicion of fraud or a breach of these Terms, or to protect the Platform or other users. Where practicable, we will notify you of the reason and any steps you may take.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, PowerWave is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform, delays caused by third-party providers, banks or network operators, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Platform after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
